Adiabatic Dry Coolers

Frigofluid adiabatic dry coolers are cooling systems that use outside air to cool the fluid circulating inside their “finned coil.” Pre-cooling the air with short water wetting cycles (through the “adiabatic” section) allows for an increase in efficiency, typically needed during warmer times of the year, or in situations where the process fluid temperature must be lower than the outside air temperature.

Frigofluid adiabatic dry coolers: description

Frigofluid adiabatic dry coolers are the ideal solution for many industrial applications requiring medium process temperatures.

The distinguishing feature is the integration of a water pre-cooling system that cools the air before it enters the coil. This adiabatic cooling process is active only during hot periods of the day and year and is parameterizable with standard PLC. This achieves a reduction in process fluid temperature with lower energy consumption than conventional dry coolers.

Below are the main advantages that can be achieved with Frigofluid’s adiabatic dry coolers.

  • Adiabatic packs made of flocked PVC. This material ensures high heat exchange efficiency and reduced wetting cycles.
  • MITA patent for water distribution. This system ensures uniform wetting of the adiabatic pack, maximizing efficiency.
  • PLC for management and control. Frigofluid adiabatic dry coolers are equipped with a PLC to monitor and manage operating parameters to optimize performance and energy savings.
  • Minimal water use. Thanks to adiabatic operation, running only when needed ,short wetting cycles, and automated management with PLC.
  • Resource optimization. Thanks to interchange between dry and adiabatic operation to parameterization with PLC as standard.
  • Prepared for Industry 4.0. Standard probes and PLC allow the customer to request remote monitoring of the solution.
